The Eternal Lightning Fields

In Venezuela, just above the mouth of the Catatumbo River, a lightning storm has been raging for at least two centuries. For 160 nights out of the year, the Catatumbo Lightning strikes for 10 straighthours, at a rate of nearly 300 strikes per hour.
When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens,
and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.
He makes lightning for the rain,
and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.
Jeremiah 10:13
